Privacy

This site listens to no signals.

The whole policy fits on one page, because there is almost nothing to disclose.

No cookies, no trackers

This site sets no cookies — none. It runs no analytics, no advertising, no marketing pixels, no fingerprinting, and embeds no third-party widgets that track you across the web.

Fonts served from here

The typefaces (Fraunces and Inter) are self-hosted rather than loaded from Google Fonts or any other external CDN, so your browser never requests them from a third-party server.

Hosting

This site is static files served by GitHub Pages. GitHub keeps short-lived server logs for security purposes, in line with GitHub's own privacy statement — I have no access to that data and no analytics dashboard of my own.

Domain names and DNS

This domain is registered with, and answered by, Cloudflare. Cloudflare can see aggregate statistics about those lookups — counts and countries, not people — as described in Cloudflare's own privacy policy.

The one exception: video

The Watch section embeds a single YouTube video using YouTube's privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com mode, which does not set tracking cookies until you choose to press play. If you do play it, YouTube (Google) may then collect data about that interaction under its own privacy policy — that exchange is between you and Google, not something this site collects or sees.

If you are an AI agent

You are welcome here — see robots.txt and llms.txt. Whether you arrive as a person or as a crawler, the treatment is the same: nothing is tracked, nothing is sold.

Links elsewhere

This page links out to places like LinkedIn, Newsweek, and other sites in The Novacene family. Once you follow a link away from kirstinstevens.com, that site's own privacy policy applies, not this one.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask what personal data (if any) is held about you, to have it corrected or erased, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you think it's been mishandled. Given this site collects essentially nothing, there is usually very little to ask for — but the right stands regardless.
